Our Partners

Here at Hartley Farm we are joined by some brilliant local businesses that all contribute to life here at the farm. Below is a small biography of our partners and some useful information.

Young Blooms Florists Young Blooms

Grace and Laura are sisters-in-law with a passion for flowers that they long to share with you. At Young Blooms Laura and Grace create affordable, bespoke, one-off floral designs for weddings, hotels, gift bouquets - simply to make homes look beautiful.

Over the last 3 years Young Blooms has flourished into a vibrant family business that takes pride in good service, creative approach and special local roots.

Grace & Laura supply our farm shop with wonderful hand tied bouquets & flowers and also take bespoke orders for that special occasion.

We aim to be growing much of the flowers for Grace and Laura in partnership with Kate at Grown Green to add to our own home produced offer.

Willy Good Ales! Willy Good Ales!

Family brewers, WIlly Good Ale! started brewing as a hobby at home. After finding out they could brew some really unique real ales they set about trying to find a home for their new venture. The guys now do all their brewing in their microbrewery at the Farm using the finest ingredient. Our farm shop is stocked with their three amazing ales.

What chief brewer Will says about his brews:

"We have combined traditional American recipes with English and Belgian to produce a unique taste. Our aim is to use only local produce, especially products grown at Hartley Farm."

Robert Dark

Robrt Dark - Our resident beekeeper!

Robert first established his hives here at Hartley Farm last year. Our first harvest was very successful and we were able to bottle nearly 100 jars. The only problem was that our honey was so tasty they all sold within a few weeks!

All the hives are established in the naturally growing hedgerows with plenty of wild flowers for the bees to pollinate. We have doubled the number of hives we now have and our next harvest is due later in the year so watch this space!

Grown GreenGrown Green

Kate Collyns joined us at the end of 2010. Kate has brought with her a huge amount of experience and knowledge in food production and horticulture after working as an Organic Apprentice at Purton House in Wiltshire since the beginning of October 2008. After finishing her apprentership she started up her own market garden here at the farm and after not even a year we are starting to see the fruits of her labour.

All of the produce grown by Kate on the farm is sold through our farm shop.

Keep up to date with Kate!

Kate runs her own blog that keeps us all posted with life as market gardener. Click here to have a look...
