DESCRIPTION:Drop by and explore the magic of sun printing!\nJoin us for a cyanotype drop-in session where you can create your own beautiful blue prints using just sunshine and water. \nPlace flowers\, leaves\, or flat objects on pre-coated light sensitive paper\, let the sun work its magic and rinse in water to reveal your blueprint. \nAll materials are provided. Family friendly\, just come and have a go. All children must be accompanied by an adult. \nDepending on the conditions of the day\, exposure time will vary. Please allow 20 minutes -1 hour per go. DESCRIPTION:Join cyanotype artist Laurinda Bellew to explore the magic of sun printing. \nLearn the basics of cyanotype\, an alternative photographic process from the 1840’s. Using various pre-coated paper and fabric\, experiment and create your very own beautiful blueprints. \nIn this workshop\, you will use pre-coated papers and fabric to experiment with flowers\, leaves and found objects suitable for printing\, learn how to expose the paper using natural sunlight\, and learn how to rinse and dry the print. \nAll materials are provided. There will be plenty of leaves and flowers for you to work from\, but it is encouraged for you to bring your own flat items to print. Pressed flowers\, lace\, feathers\, or negatives work well. \nFingers crossed for sunshine\, but it works on cloudy days too! UV Lights will be available as a back-up if the sun doesn’t behave. \nAdults 18+ only

DESCRIPTION:Take a closer look at nature and give watercolour painting a go\, in this social adult session. All levels welcome.\nIn these relaxed sessions\, we will take inspiration from natural objects (provided in the class) and learn how to record what we observe in pencil and paint. \nGrace will guide you through a range of techniques and methods when working with watercolour\, which you can enjoy applying to your own mini-masterpiece throughout the session. \nCompletely relaxed creative environment\, with an opportunity to purchase drinks and snacks. \nAll materials are provided.  Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting painty (though watercolour does wash off). \n  \nABOUT THE ARTIST \nGrace has always been creative\, growing up painting with watercolours on family trips to the Lake District. After spending time working in film and TV art departments in London\, she pursued a career in publishing\, working as an illustrator for a children’s publishing company for several years. \nGrace recently moved to Bath to study Creative Writing. She continues to run her freelance illustration business alongside her studies and loves inspiring others to paint\, especially the natural world\, which she finds beautifully rich in detail.

DESCRIPTION:Join Zoe Clementines for this 2-hour introduction to linocutting\, where you will be carving 5/6 mini square linos to create a multi-block lino print for Christmas Cards. \nMulti-block printing like this is a really lovely way of working\, as there are numerous ways to print; you can choose different colours for different blocks\, and you can choose different configurations. You can also continue carving more at home and add them to the ones you have already carved.
