SUMMARY:COLOUR BURST CLAMBER & Family Fun Day
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a good old fashioned sports day on the farm.\nThe day will begin with our fabulous Colourburst Clamber; dash around the fields over hay bale obstacles and through clouds of colour. \nThen head back to The Paddock for a range of family friendly games and competitions\, plus bouncy castle and face painting.  \nWe will of course have our outdoor kitchen and bar set up and ready to help you refuel and recover after a tough day of competitions. \nPlus live music from the epic Mike Walsh! \nTICKETS \nKIDS CBC £15 – ADULTS CBC £7-10 \nPADDOCK PASS KIDS £6 – ADULTS £3 \nEntry for the race and The Paddock need to be paid for separately. \nOnce you’re inside The Paddock\, all games and activities are free.   \nOnline ticket sales will close at 3:30pm on Friday 4th July.  Race tickets will be available on the day\, subject to availability. We recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. \n\nTHE COLOUR BURST CLAMBER\n\nAll CBC competitors will receive a white t-shirt to wear for the race (except for adults if they opt out).  Children will receive a medal too!\nPlease arrive half an hour before your race time to sign in\, get your t-shirt and get to the start line.  Check in will open at 9:30am.\nThe Colourburst clamber is recommended for children aged 4 and up. Children under 8 must be accompanied by a paying adult.\nThe route is approximately 1.5km\, around fields and over styles.  There will be hay bale obstacles to clamber over\, but these can easily be bypassed if desired.\nThe colourbursts are made up of cornflour and food colouring.\nPlease bring goggles or sunglasses to protect your eyes. \nWhilst the powder is food safe\, we don’t recommend eating it! \nIt may be worth bringing a change of clothes and shoes for the journey home unless you fancy a rainbow car 🙂\n\n***** All Colour Burst Clamber runners must sign an online disclaimer in order to be able to participate ***** \nAdult’s Disclaimer Form \nChildren’s Disclaimer Form (to be filled in by parent or guardian)

DESCRIPTION:Pumpkins incoming! \nForget fields of gold\, the paddock is about to turn into a field of orange! \nBring your little farmers along to help choose the perfect pumpkin.  Enjoy free carving and painting with any pumpkin purchase\, and keep the mess in the paddock instead of in your kitchen. \nThe bouncy castle will be up daily too.  The perfect way for little ones to burn off some energy\, get some fresh air and messy play all in one spot. \nAll activities will be subject to weather. If there is heavy rain or winds\, we will have to close temporarily for safety reasons. \nWe will also have lantern making available on Thursday 30th and Friday 31st\, although we recommend booking this in advance.

DESCRIPTION:Our pollinators are in peril; bumblebees\, solitary bees and honey bees are all under threat from the modern-day onslaught of pesticides\, habitat loss and intensive agriculture. Yet between them\, the almost 300-species of UK bee\, along with other pollinators\, are responsible for more than a third of everything we eat.\n\n\nIn March\, Richard Rickitt\, one of the UK’s best-known beekeepers and co-editor of BeeCraft magazine\, will be joining Winsley Nature Chain at Hartley Farm to share with us ways in which we can help save the bees.\n\n\nThis fascinating and richly illustrated talk will introduce many of the bee species found in the UK and explain how you can help to save them by creating a pollinator oasis in your garden.  To quote Richard – My talks are richly and clearly illustrated and designed to fascinate and amaze – and there are always a few laughs.\n\n\nRichard keeps around 30 colonies of his own bees as well as a few more for some high-profile locations and individuals.
