Welcome to hartley-farm.co.uk. By using this website, placing an order, or booking an event, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and any related policies we refer to, including our Privacy Policy.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Your Account

You may register an account when purchasing online or by telephone. You are responsible for ensuring your details are accurate and up to date and for keeping your login details secure.

We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts, remove content, or cancel orders where necessary, including where misuse or fraud is suspected.

Formation of Contract

When you place an order, this constitutes an offer to purchase. A contract is formed once we confirm your order by email or other written confirmation. The contract is completed once goods are delivered or collected.

Orders & Amendments

All orders are subject to availability.

Once placed and paid for, orders cannot be guaranteed to be amended. If you need to make a change, please contact us as soon as possible. We will try to help where the order has not yet been processed.

We reserve the right to cancel or amend orders if items are unavailable, incorrectly priced, or affected by supply issues.

Substitutions

Where an item is unavailable, we may substitute with an item of equal or greater value or issue a refund. This applies particularly to hampers, gift boxes and mixed orders.

If you do not wish to accept a substitution, please contact us and we will arrange a refund.

Prices & Payment

All prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are additional.

Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering. Ownership of goods passes to you once payment has been received.

We accept online card payments via secure payment providers. Please do not send payment details by email.

If a pricing error occurs, we will contact you to reconfirm or cancel the order.

Product Information

We take care to ensure product descriptions and images are accurate, but images are illustrative only. Packaging, vintages, and specifications may vary depending on availability.

Food, Alcohol & Perishable Goods

Food, alcohol, beverages, fresh produce, flowers and hampers containing food are perishable goods and are exempt from the 14-day right to cancel, except where goods are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied.

Customers are responsible for ensuring delivery arrangements are suitable for perishable items.

Age-Restricted Products

You must be aged 18 or over to purchase alcohol, knives, or other age-restricted items. Proof of ID may be required on delivery or collection.

Cancellations & Returns

Your Right to Cancel (Non-Perishable Goods)

You have the right to cancel most purchases within 14 days of receiving your goods.

Returned items must be unused, in their original packaging, and returned within 14 days of notifying us. Return postage costs are your responsibility unless the item is faulty.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

If goods arrive damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us within 14 days. We may request photographs to assist our investigation.

Where appropriate, we will repair, replace or refund the item in accordance with your statutory rights.

Delivery

We deliver within mainland UK only.

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by weather, courier delays or other circumstances beyond our control. Goods may be delivered in multiple consignments.

All deliveries are made to the address provided and may require a signature.

Events, Workshops & Experiences

These terms apply to all ticketed events, workshops, tastings and experiences hosted by Hartley Farm.

• Tickets are non-refundable, unless we cancel the event.

• Tickets are non-transferable unless stated otherwise.

• Events may be rescheduled due to weather, illness, safety concerns or circumstances beyond our control.

• Where an event is cancelled by us, a full refund or alternative date will be offered.

• Guests attend events at their own risk and must follow staff instructions at all times.

• We reserve the right to refuse admission or remove guests whose behaviour is unsafe or disruptive.

Café, Restaurant & On-Site Hospitality

Menus are subject to change based on seasonality and availability.

Allergen information is available on request. Customers are responsible for informing staff of any allergies or dietary requirements.

Table bookings may be time-limited during busy periods. We reserve the right to cancel bookings in the event of no-shows or late arrivals.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images and branding, is owned by or licensed to Hartley Farm Shop Ltd. Content may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

Subject to this, we shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our website, products or services.

Events Beyond Our Control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, transport disruption or supplier failure.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your order or booking will apply.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You may bring legal proceedings in the courts of your country of residence within the UK.
