This month we kicked off the year’s event’s calendar with our Spring Farm Open day. Thank you to everyone who came to the farm to see a little bit of what we get up to behind the scenes. We hope you managed to catch a glance of our new Tamworth piglets and also the baby calves that have been born on the farm over the last few weeks. Seeing them skipping about playfully whilst mum chews away at some fresh spring grass is such an uplifting sight, especially after a long winter of mud and rain!

At the start of May we host our Nose to Trail 10k and family run. We are very excited about this event after the success of last year. We hope to achieve two things with the Nose to Trail, firstly getting people outdoors and active across our beautiful countryside and also support some wonderful local charities. This year we are supporting Dorothy House and also Shine Bright Support, a new local charity, started by a close friend of mine that aims to deliver support for families faced with the challenges of cancer in children. If you’ve signed up we wish you the best of luck! If you also ran last year, you’ll be pleased to hear I have made a couple of tweaks to the route to bring the distance a bit closer to 10k this year!!

At the farm shop we’re gearing up for the summer and everything outdoors. A bit of a spruce up in our play area with a few more obstacles for energetic kids, and also outside the farm shop to make the most of our glorious summer in waiting and to give us a great excuse to fire up the Big Green Eggs also!
